Amending Old Laws to Punish New Governors

The Mann Act was passed in 1910 its purpose was to prosecute people who were in the business of trafficking young girls for the means that of prostitution across state lines. This law was set into motion to combat immigrants who kidnapped women and made them to figure into brothels. The official title of the law is White Slave Traffic Act, because the ladies that were kidnapped were driven to prostitution out of fear. The law may be a product of its time, but since 1910 it has undergone a few Amendments to keep it significant to fashionable times.

The present interest in the Mann Act has been sparked by New York’s Governor Eliot Spitzer. Prosecutors are considering charging Governor Spitzer of violating the law. Although, Governor Spitzer is the most current celebrity to be linked to the Mann Act he isn’t the sole one.  African Yank boxer Jack Johnson, film star Charlie Chaplin, and musician Chuck Berry have all been prosecuted below the Mann Act. Jack Johnson received the most sentence of 1 year and one day. Mr. Johnson’s conviction has been presupposed to be a racist act, as a result of the lady he was transporting was his white girlfriend. Charlie Chaplin was charged, however not found guilty. Chuck Berry served 5 years for a variety of different charges as well as the Mann Act. All About Everclear

In the annuals of drunken college days, inebriated spring break debacles, and crazy party nights, one word is present in the craziest, most debauched tales. One word that strikes fear in the hearts of all who have gotten too close to it. One word that can cause muscle-memory dry-heaving in those who have abused it. That word is Everclear. It is prohibited by law in most states.  You might think - that’s a pretty weird law, but read on to find out why.

Everclear Grain Alcohol is a neutral grain spirit, which means it is low in the impurities that are by-products of fermentation related to most types of alcohol. Since those impurities (called congeners) are supposed to be what causes hangovers, a lot of people are under the misconception that you won’t get a hangover if you drink Everclear. This is not necessarily so. Everclear doesn’t have much of a taste, so people will tend to drink too much, or mix it’s already high proof alcohol with other types of alcohol.

Point and case: the Tucker Max Death Mix. We learn on his website (and in the movie I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, if I’m not mistaken) that the Tucker Max Death Mix is a mixture of Everclear, Gatorade, and Red Bull. The idea is that the Gatorade will help you stay hydrated and the Red Bull will keep you awake. I’m inclined to just take his word for it - the combination sounds lethal.

Everclear comes in two proofs (a term that indicates the amount of alcohol actually contained in the spirit) – 151 and 190 proof. So that means that the 151 proof Everclear is 75.5% alcohol, while the 190 proof is 95% alcohol. Compare that to what we’ve considered “hard” liquor – vodka, bourbon, etc. previously. They are usually 80-120 proof, which means they contain 40-60% alcohol. The bottom line is that Everclear contains a lot of alcohol.

In fact, it contains so much alcohol that it is illegal in many of these United States. The 190 proof version is only available in a handful of states, and the 151 proof is only available in a few more than that. Everclear is illegal in all forms in a lot of places, and in others you need a special license to buy it. Some photographers use it to clean lenses, and for some mysterious reason it’s OK for pharmacists to have.

Everclear is manufactured by the Luxco Company, which used to be called The David Sherman Company. They are manufacturers of many other brands of liquor, like Rebel Yell, Admiral Nelson’s, El Mayor, and Salvador’s. Why Allow the IRS to Levy Your Bank?

I came across a blog post by what seemed to be a woman about her IRS problem. She writes:

I used to owe the IRS about 25,000 dollars, that’s with fees and penalties and with no hope of getting the bill down.

This gal should consider that we have a right to live and the government can’t tax rights; or our very right to exist. Most people don’t know this though, including IRS agents. She continued:

First we tried monthly payments and that did not work out. Then the IRS levied our pay check from work leaving us with 400 dollars to live on.

This could have never happened if this woman had known about my IRS Terminator package. This woman could have studied up on how to request and win a Collection Due Process Hearing, then requested one, and then all tax collection activity would have come to a halt and the levy would have stopped. The writer continued:

At that time we had seen an ad in the paper for Harrison Grave that will help people get rid of the IRS problems. We went to see them, not knowing that this was not even their official office but a temporary leased office. They told us it would cost total of 2,000 dollars to help us. We were so scared and had no idea what to do, so we accepted and began making payments to them to help us talk to the IRS.

This looks like strong evidence that companies like Harrison Grave are really the IRS’s partners in collecting taxes. I wonder, did Harrison Grave really want to solve this ladies IRS levy problem. The writer continued:

We submitted the information they needed to began the process and after nine month and still did not hear anything from the Harrison and Grave people we called them asking for an update on what was going on. Needless to say they gave us the run around. I even drove to their office in NC to see them and still no results. They took our 2,000 and did nothing for us. When I called them at that time and told them the IRS is Levy our pay check they said “We have a special team working on your case to stop the Levy’s.” That was all a lie. The IRS levied our second pay check… I knew Harrison Grave was a joke…”

Results like this are why people in a situation of having unpaid taxes, unfiled returns, or returns filed under what is considered by the mainstream as an unusual theory of law such as a Cracking the Code return should prepare by studying in advance about how deal with a notice of levy.

Yo, You Have Nappy Gingivitis Breath…

The new affectionately slanderous and in vogue slur among today’s youth: "You have nappy gingivitis breath"! This is usually followed by an even more endearing taunt which we can’t repeat here.  I am quite sure your imagination is funcioning quite well at this point.

Though said in good fun, some people really do have gum disease and gingivitis - and often, but not always, this is accompanied by bad breath. This is also known has ‘halitosis’.

There is something slightly ironic in this innocent sounding ‘bust’. Many of the people who bandy it about may very well have gingivitis themselves! Yes, the stats tell us that up to 75% and some say 80% of the population may have some form of gum disease right now!

The worst part is that many who have it, do not even know. In time this problem can lead too lose and lost teeth. Many people don’t even realize that they have been nursing an unhealth case of gum disease until the dentist or periodontist tell them.

The sad thing about this is that once the teeth become lose, they may want to do surgery on you to correct the problem.  People seldom get gum disease in one isolated area. This could spell a great financial burden.  Something like Oramd could help.

It can be expensive to lose teeth and have implants or dentures created.  In both cases, you really have to realize that the substitute is not as cool or good as the real thing.

A bit of know how and prevention knowledge could make a big difference.
